Gaëtane Lavoie Hamel

Resume

Born in Bromptonville (Quebec), Gaëtane Lavoie H started to paint in 1969.  She is taking courses with Pierre Jeanson, a well-known artist, since 1989.  She is a member of A.P.A.S.* since 1997.

Oil and watercolor are her favorite medias.  She often mixes materials, medias and techniques in order to fulfill her creativity.

Figures, landscapes and stills life, coming from the imaginary or reality, are her main paintings' subjects.

She is daring in her choice of original frames, in her selection of colors and in her interpretation of the vanguard techniques. 

Her work is the subject of numerous exhibitions at the Société d’Histoire de  Sherbrooke, the gallery Le Trait d’Art, the Université de Sherbrooke, the Magog's artists place and the Mont-Tremblant Symposium.  Her work can be seen in March at the Sherbrooke Golf Club and in November at the Galeries Quatre Saisons.
